I believe that the focus of education should not be on temporary test scores, but helping empower students to become capable of thinking for themselves, caring for

others, and living fulfilled lives.  Teaching a student “what” is only the beginning.  I want to

emphasize the “why” and “how” of everything I present.  I want to guide student thinking withoutfostering dependence on the teacher.  I believe in regular assessment of abilities and

comprehension in order to develop the best possible strategies for students.  I want students to become competent individuals who are independent learners, confident to face

any opportunity or challenge they may encounter.
